We work with traders, jewellers, auction houses and collectors across Myanmar. Each report is the result of a documented examination by trained gemologists using standard instruments.

What we can test for you
Most clients start with a single-stone identification or diamond grading. Complex stones, mounted jewelry and origin opinion reports may take longer.
Treatment Detection
Detection of common treatments including heating, fracture filling, irradiation and clarity enhancement.
Diamond 4C Grading
Independent diamond grading covering Carat, Colour, Clarity and Cut, observed under standardised conditions.
Origin Opinion
Origin opinion reports for ruby, sapphire and select spinel, based on microscopic and spectroscopic observation.
Coloured Stone Testing
Full colored stone grading and descriptive reports for sapphires, rubies, spinel, garnet and similar species.
Jade & Jadeite Testing
Identification of natural, treated and imitation jadeite-jade, including polymer and acid treatment detection.
Pearl Identification
Identification of natural, cultured and imitation pearls, with notes on treatment and origin where applicable.
Jewelry Authentication
Authentication of mounted jewelry for traders, retailers and private collectors — stones in setting evaluated alongside metal notes.
Report formats
How the report is delivered
Reports are produced on YGIL letterhead and printed in our Tamwe office. Each report includes a photo of the stone, observations, instrument tests, and the lab's conclusion. A summary in plain language is available on request.
Larger origin reports include micro-photographs and a documented examination trail.
