Introducing the Online Practical Lab component
YGIL students can now combine GIA distance e-learning theory with hands-on practical lab weeks hosted in Yangon.
We have been quietly piloting a blended structure for our longer programmes: students complete the theoretical part of a GIA-aligned diploma via distance e-learning, then come to Yangon for short, intensive practical lab weeks at our Tamwe classroom.
How it works
- Online theory at your own pace — the GIA portion is delivered as e-learning, supported by our local instructors.
- Two practical lab weeks in Yangon — instrument handling, microscopic observation, and grading practice under supervision.
- Final practical examination — completion of the diploma requires satisfying the practical component, just as the international programme requires.
Who it is for
- Working traders who cannot leave the trading floor for long periods
- Overseas-based Myanmar students returning home for practical weeks
- Professionals who already understand theory but want the rigour of structured practical training
